Belle`s Chicken Dinner House in Abilene

The food was amazing. We ordered the catfish and chicken dumplings. Your sides are endless refills service family style. Literally the best catfish I've ever had. Can't forget to mention the fabulous sour dough rolls...MMM MMM good. Staff is super friendly and we got to enjoy them as they sang and danced the Hokie Pokie. Had no clue entertainment was included. Sang and joined along with them in my chair.

There needs to be a + at the end. Meal was fantastic,service was excellent and atmosphere was great. My server, Molly, was a delight. Thank you for the excellent experience.

Holy WOW this place lives up to the hype. Atmosphere is cute (a tad dark), wait staff is amazingly attentive and kind and helpful. The food was fabulous. I thought I was going to be bummed with instant mashed potatoes but they were great and the corn is addictive and green beans with bacon...HELLO, Yes please!!! The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken tenders were perfection. I'd eat here any day (but I live 4 hours away, so maybe only once a year)

They have great food and amazing rolls with all the butter u can imagine. Great family atmoshere and staff were professional from start to finish.

The food is great and the prices are reasonable. My husband liked the chicken and I had a great chicken fried steak. The corn stole the show! I could probably made a meal of the corn. Definitely recommend Belle's!

I rating this place with one star. This is not for the food and place. It is a great place toTHE REASON I AM RATING THIS LOW IS THAT NONE OF THE STAFF IS WEARING MASK AND WHEN THEY TAKE YOUR ORDER THEY ARE BREATHING LESS THAN 3 FT FROM YOU. I HAVE FILLED A REPORT WITH THE STATE JUST TO LET THEM KNOW.

Sunday July 12th was my very visit and had the CFS and it was awesome will have to make another trip to try the yard bird next time service was awesome

The best southern food there is in Abilene Texas. From fried chicken to chicken fried steak and with all the trimmings as much as you can eat 2nds of.....#1 place to eat when you have a big appetite hands down! 🤤🤤😁😀👌🏽👍🏽

The fried chicken was delicious. Our server was personable and the food arrived quickly. The sides were served family style and are all you can eat.

Everything was DELICIOUS! Our table had not fried chicken, chicken tenders, and catfish. The rolls were awesome, and the honey and molasses were such a tasty touch. I ate way more than I intended because it was just so good!

If you're in Abilene or passing through this is a MUST! This is hard to admit but this place is better than Babes chicken dinner house!

I looked online for great local joints and Belle’s popped up,so I gave it a chance,what an amazing place. Family style restaurant with amazing waitstaff, no menu just a waitress that told me the entree’s for late lunch, 3pm. Fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken fried steak, chicken tenders, and catfish. 13.95. I tried the chicken fried steak, green beans, corn (to die for) mashed potatoes and a hot yeast roll ! Check out the pictures. Definitely will return next time through Abilene

One of the best places in Abilene. Family style comfort food to heal your soul. Fried Chicken, Not-Fried Chicken, Catfish, Country Fried Steak, it's all great. The rolls are outstanding, and even the butter is better quality than most restaurants. They pay attention to the details and it shows. Oh, and try the sorghum syrup on your buttered roll. Taste like honey and molasses had the perfect baby.

Jus moved to Texas from NY, was recommended Belle's from the campground I was staying at. Had a nice trail leading right to it. Showed up a little early and sat in the waiting room, just the waiting room alone is the most Texas thing I've seen since I got here. Old antiques on Wall, country music playing. When dinner time rolled around I was lead to the table by a very nice waitress, they have a cool system of ordering there that she explained to me very easily. I don't know what I was expecting, but what came out was a feast fit for a king. Free refills on everything included with the meal. It all tasted so good, I felt spoiled. By the time dinner rolled around the very next day I found myself back at Belle's. Couldn't stop thinking about how good it was. Highly recommend you go here. Great service with awesome food. -Sean

Food is good every time and the waiters are awsome. It is nice going here and the owner coming to your table and speaking to you about the food and asking how you about your day. These guys are what makes Belles my crews go to place

We just had lunch at Belle’s Chicken Dinner House for the first time and it was AMAZING. We are from Georgia and take road trips regularly to visit family. We love trying out new places on the road and Belle’s has definitely made our list for our next jaunt across Texas! Super friendly staff, great service all around and wonderful food. Give it a try!!!

I was passing through Abilene with the family and decided to give Belle's a try. They serve the veggies family style. You just have to order the protein you want. We will be making Belle's a regular stop!

Nothing like the experience of Bell's. Cannot be their food or their chicken dance service. Music was a little loud and prices have gone up, but we will still be back.

The fried chicken is the best in Abilene and as good as I have ever had. The rolls also merit mentioning since they are scratch made and absolutely delicious. The chicken fried steak, Texas in every way, is another winner for an entree. All the sides are good, the atmosphere and deco is friendly and rustic. We love the place, the people, and especially the food.

Great Family Gathering Place for a Southern Family dining experience. This is a place to come and when friends and family visit this is a great Abilene original restaurant.

Family style restaurant. Limited but sufficient main selection. We had chicken fried steaks. Unlimited servings of green beans, corn, and mashed potatoes. I like the rolls with some sorghum.

We are so lucky when we find a local place this good on our road trips. Chicken was hot, crunchy and moist, rolls were delicious, sides were plentiful and the wait staff and owner were very friendly. Worth finding if you are in Abilene area, definitely a place to enjoy good food. Nothing fancy.

First visit, but no question we will be back. Good food, very generous portions, comfortable atmosphere. Served family style with unlimited refills on the sides. If you leave hungry it's no ones fault but yours.

Outstanding chicken house! Everything served family style with unlimited sides and fresh rolls. Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken and Dumplings were all 5 stars! Service is wonderful and all the staff are great. Outdoor eating area also. Be prepared to wait a few minutes at busy times. We were told 15-20 minutes and waited about 10. Can't go wrong here. They've been doing things right for a long time and it shows. Nothing fancy, just excellent down home stick to your ribs food. Can't wait to be back in town and go again. Don't plan anything afterwards because you'll need a nap! Did I mention the desserts???!!!!

Best dang chicken restaurant in Abilene Tx.Fast service, good food. All the employees are friendly. Good chicken fingers. Good baked chicken. Good catfish. Being to full I could only get a couple of bites of the bread pudding down but it was great too.

This little place is fantastic. I live in Dallas and just stopped here for dinner after a road trip. Best fried chicken, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, and rolls ever!! I mean the food was absolutely heaven. Staff was amazing too. Very accommodating and patient! Can’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely plan on coming back the next time we stop through.
